Professor Peninnah Schram is a world-renowned storyteller and beloved mentor and colleague to Jewish storytellers from across the entire spectrum of Jewish practice. Here she tells an aliyah folktale from the Israel Folktale Archives, recorded live at the Israel Folktale Festival given in her honor by Yeshiva University's Center for Israel Studies, where Mitzvah Stories: Seeds for Inspiration and Learning, a book of 60 new mitzvah stories filled with meaningful adult tales created by her colleagues and students and published by Reclaiming Judaism Press was presented in her honor.
