Omer Days 7 & 8

Posted by Rabbi Goldie Milgram |

Catch up today for our Omer Walks postings. Day 7, Shabbat was Malchut (manifestation/ Shechinah) sheh b'Chessed. What manifests on Shabbat? An extra measure of soulfulness for each of us, the neshamah yetaira. After a long beach walk, resting on Barry's chest on the beach on a towel felt like this: Psalm 131:3 "I have equanimity and my soul is serene; like a weaned child upon it's Mother's breast, is my soul within me."
Day 8, Chessed sheh b'Gevurah (strength / boundaries), our walk led us to the vast weekly drum circle here on Siesta Key Beach, where the organizer enchanted and engaged the children through her silken, flowing, tender, and kindly Goddess / Shechinah dance within the Gevurah / strength of the circle."
Today is Day 9, Gevurah sheh b'Gevurah...heading out for our Omer Walk now.
